Mallory Moxon-Carson

Mallory is a proud member of the Cambridge arts community. Her accolades include YWCA “Woman of Distinction” for lifetime achievement, a Bernice Adams’s Award for music, and a WODL special adjudicator’s award for her original and arranged music. She has put in over 25 years as a professional soloist/actress and music director. Her work began with Galt Little Theatre from her teen years until her mid twenties, which fostered her love of musical theatre. She did her musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music to ARCT level, refining her skills singing in Classic Touch dinner theatre, Opera in Concert, the Toronto Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and Southern Ontario folk festivals where she performed her own work. Since 2001, she has been an active choral director, vocal teacher and drama coach, directing Sweet Voices, (a 30 member performing troupe of girls) and Cambridge Seniors’ Choir (70+ choir for older adults). Mallory has original and collaborative writing credits on pieces of music of different genres and her work has been performed locally by musicians of all ages and experience. In addition to the Cambridge Seniors’ Choir, she currently leads both adult and youth Cambridge Glee. In 2019, Mallory directed a successful thriller, Angel Street (Gaslight), for the Cambridge Community Players.

Carolyn Lambert

Carolyn studied flute at McMaster University, graduating with a B Mus in 1984 and receiving a medal for her compositions and arrangements.  She played flute and piccolo with the McMaster Symphony Orchestra from 1981-85.

Since 1990, Carolyn has played flute at numerous venues in Waterloo Region.  She has extensive experience playing keyboard for school choirs and accompanying Mallory’s vocal students at shows and performances.  She has led a vocal ensemble for girls, and currently coaches and accompanies a church choir in Waterloo.  Carolyn also plays keyboard for Cambridge Glee and for the Cambridge Seniors’ Choir. Carolyn is Mallory’s musical writing partner, and has written arrangements of Mallory’s original compositions.

Carolyn’s son, Andrew, sang with the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys’ choir for ten years, and Carolyn has served for several years on the choir Board. From 2002-11, she was on the teaching staff of the CKBC, supervising choristers and sometimes accompanying the choir on flute or piano.  

Carolyn loves working with young people, and enjoys teaching music lessons from her home studio in Hespeler.
