In addition to the joy of choral singing, the Cambridge Kiwanis Choir also participates in several service projects per year to benefit community organizations locally or abroad. We feel it’s important to encourage our youth to become good global citizens.

Each project is planned and organized by the choir members, allowing them to discover other passions and explore them, under the established and respected Kiwanis Builders’ Club. Our Builders’ club elects its own executive, with the support of a choir member’s parent and our Kiwanis Club representative.

Being a part of the Builders’ Club gives our choir members an opportunity to interact outside of a rehearsal/concert setting. They have the fun of working together and can choose to experience the opportunity to lead in a safe environment. Through this process, our youth gain knowledge and self-confidence. Helping and serving others, creates a safe path to unfamiliar experiences, finding empathy, and appreciating their ability to make a difference.
